Karen Gene David TimothyK. B.Our beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend returned to her Heavenly Father on Saturday, February 4, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. Karen Gene David was born on May 1, 1943 in Alamosa, Colorado to Georgia Lucille and Eugene LeRoy "Pete" David. She was the second of the four "K's," Kaye (Duane), Kirk (Bev) and Kathy (Max). Karen graduated with her BA in Elementary Education from Utah State University and taught elementary school for seven years. Karen married her eternal sweetheart and friend, Ned K. Timothy, in the Salt Lake Temple on June 20, 1967. Together they had five children: Clint, Andrew, Nicole, Brett and Georgette. One of Karen's true passions in life was loving, teaching and serving her children and grandchildren. Karen found peace in the outdoors. She and Ned went on countless fishing and camping trips with each other and their family. She enjoyed reading, baking and spending money...behind her husband's back. Karen was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She had a strong testimony of her purpose on this earth and the love of her Savior and Heavenly Father. She served happily and made many lasting friendships during her numerous callings in the Relief Society, Young Women's, Primary and Sunday School. Karen was an eternal optimist, had a witty sense of humor, embraced her life and loved others with her whole heart. She is survived by her cherished children: Clint (Emily), Nicole (Justin), Brett (Camille) and Georgette (Zac) and by her eight precious grandchildren: Jessica (10), Emma (9), Haylie (7), Kylee (6), Bryson (5), Pratt (4), Eddie (1) and Sadie (2 months). She was preceded in death by her parents, Georgia and Pete David and her baby boy Andrew.
