DENVER — The Denver Nuggets are short-handed for their game against the Houston Rockets on Monday night with three starters out with injuries.

Nene has a sprained left heel, Arron Afflalo has a sprained left ankle and a sprained big toe on his right foot and Timofey Mozgov has a high left ankle sprain.

Also, backup forward Corey Brewer is out following the death of his father.

Coach George Karl said he hopes to have both Nene and Afflalo back for Wednesday night's game against the Dallas Mavericks. There's no timeline for Mozgov's return and Karl said he wasn't sure when Brewer would be available again.

Rookies Kenneth Faried and Julyan Stone were scheduled to start for Denver.
