JACKSON, Wyo. — Blayne "Bud" Streeper, of Fort Nelson, British Columbia, has won the International Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Race for the fourth time.
Streeper finished with an overall time of 19 hours, 52 minutes, 42 seconds. He also won the race in 2004, 2010 and 2011.
Aaron Peck, of Grand Prairie, Alberta, took second with a cumulative time of 20:09.27.
John Stewart, of Scotland, was third with a final time of 20:23.40.
The race began Jan. 27 in Jackson and ended Feb. 4 in Park City, Utah. Besides Jackson and Park City, the race went through nine Wyoming communities.
The International Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Race was founded in 1996 by Frank Teasley to make sled dog racing more accessible to the public.
