PARK CITY, Utah — China swept the women's podium in the Freestyle World Cup aerials Friday at Deer Valley Resort and teammate Jia Zongyang won gold for the men.

Yet the sub-freezing night belonged to American Dylan Ferguson, who won his first podium in 30 World Cup aerial events in a competition the athletes dedicated to the late Jeret "Speedy" Peterson.

Ferguson danced on his skis afterward and wore the word "Speedy" on his helmet in honor of Peterson, who landed his record-breaking trademark Hurricane — three flips and five twists — in Deer Valley in January 2007.

Canada's Olivier Rochon took bronze for the men.

China's Xu Mengtau won her fourth gold in four events for the women. Cheng Shuang took silver and Kong Fanyu bronze.
