Hazel Ophelia (Bills) Jackson1912 ~ 2012Hazel Ophelia (Bills) Jackson, 99 of Meridian, ID, passed away Friday, January 27, 2012 under private care in Middleton, Idaho.Hazel was born July 5, 1912 in Fairview, Utah to Charles Otis Bills and Helena Peterson Bills. Her family moved in 1922 to Salt Lake City, Utah where she attended Granite High School. She married Stanley B. Jackson of Holiday, Utah in the Salt Lake LDS Temple December 16, 1931. They farmed in Utah until 1953 when they moved to Meridian, Idaho to farm until Stanley passed away March 5, 2000.Hazel was also preceded in death by her parents; sister Madge Lena Croushore; and brothers Max Scott, Ferrel Charles, Stanley Dick, and Jack Otis. She is survived by her three children, Thomas Stanley Jackson of Meridian, ID, Charles Brent Jackson (Maralyn) of Meridian, ID, and Marilyn J. White of Melba, ID; 10 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.Hazel will be remembered for her love for the Savior, people, music, dancing, flowers, figurines, and her never-failing affection for her family. She will also be remembered for her energy, humor, classy style, leadership ability, unparalleled cooking, unrelenting motherhood, playing card games, floating the canal, fear of snakes and mice, and a cookie jar that was never empty. She created joy and beauty in her well-kept yard and clean home. She gave willingly many years of devout service to the LDS church. She was an extraordinary lady and we have been blessed to have had her in our lives. She will be missed but we know she has joined loved ones who have been waiting for her.The family wishes to thank all those who have touched our lives and hers, especially those who have taken care of her as she waited to pass from mortality to immortality.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, at the LDS Victory Ward located at 2555 S. Stoddard, Meridian, Idaho 83642. Friends may call to visit with the family from 10:00-10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Services are under the direction of the Relyea Funeral Chapel.
