Roelina Luttmer Ainsworth Greenhalgh1931 ~ 2012Roelina Luttmer Ainsworth Greenhalgh was the tenth child of fifteen born to Roelfje Stoffers and Johann Herman Frederick Luttmer. Born July 27, 1931 in Groningen, Netherland. Her dream was to come to America by the time she was 16. She arrived July 4, 1948 three weeks before her 17th birthday. She married Melvin K. Ainsworth on January 20, 1950 and they had three children; Mitchell (Pat) Ainsworth, Cindy (Garry) Walker, and Susan (Von) Trivett. She married Jay Page Greenhalgh, March 22, 1966. They truly made each other happy for the next 20 years. She added four step-children to her family: Dennis (Susan), Larry (Stephanie), Kirk (Marie) Greenhalgh and Lynnette (George) Taylor. She worked most of her life as a nurses aid, waitress, and for 15 years as a keypunch data entry operator for JC Penneys. She loved to bowl and was an avid reader. She was living in St. George when she had a major stroke in January 2008. Loosing the use of her left side she moved to Kamas where her daughters were able to care for her. Thanks to Alpine Home Care and Hospice they were able to care for her to the end when a tumor on her liver ended her stay in this life on January 25, 2012. She has been reunited with her husband Jay; her parents, her brothers, Jacob, Fred, Jan and Roelof; her sisters, Jantje, Jantiena (Tinie), Geertje, and Anna (Liesje). Her surviving siblings Jacoba, Frederika (Ria), Whilhelmina, Jean, Gerhard, and Geert (Grant) will deeply miss her, as will all of her children, 33 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren. She would do anything for her family but the best things she taught us, through her example, was to love and care for each other. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon, Monday, January 30, 2012 at the Russon Brothers Farmington Mortuary, 1941 North Main where a viewing will be held from 10:45-11:45 a.m prior to services.
