RICHMOND, Va. — One year after its magical Final Four run, VCU and its "Havoc" defense are making noise again.

The Rams (17-5, 8-2 Colonial Athletic Association) will carry a six-game winning streak into Saturday's game at Georgia State. They already boast an eight-game winning streak from earlier in the season, and are once again building their success on end-to-end defensive pressure.

Coach Shaka Smart's team ranks second nationally in steals with an average of 10.2 per game, fourth in turnover margin at plus six, and 14th in scoring defense, allowing an average of 58.3 points.

The Rams have used that defensive approach to overwhelm city rival Richmond by 22, CAA rival Old Dominion by 13 and UAB by 19.
