Matelita Mafi 'Olive1960 ~ 2012Matelita "Lita" Mafi 'Olive returned to our Heavenly Father on Sunday, January 22, 2012, peacefully in her own home. She was born on June 22, 1960, in Uiha, Tonga to Sione Fekeila and Mele Ikatonga 'Olive. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many callings which included Librarian and Visiting Teaching Supervisor. Lita worked as an employee for various Medical Manufacturing companies and did so until she fell ill. Although Lita never married or had children of her own she was surrounded by family members who loved her. She had a wonderful sense of humor that she shared with all; even in the last days of her life. She is survived by her mother Mele Ikatonga Fonua 'Olive and siblings: John Latu (Linda) Lao, Anitimoni (Lavili) Keiaho, Ungatea, Eliesa (Mele), Taniela (Marilou), Sola (Frank Fau'olo), Makeleta (John Mapu), David Biu, Ofa (Talalua) and Jeffrey (Laina). She was preceded in death by her father Sione Fekeila 'Olive and her brothers Lotoa (Setaita) and Tevita Piukana. Public Viewing will be held from 9:30 a.m. 11:30 a.m. and Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, January 27, 2012 at 4950 South 1950 West, Taylorsville, UT. Interment will be at the Redwood Memorial Mortuary on 6500 South Redwood Road, Salt Lake City, UT.
