Norma L. Dunn1928 - 2012On Monday, January 23, 2012, Norma Lorraine Erickson Dunn, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend passed away in the presence of her husband and family. Norma was born January 29, 1928, in Salt Lake City, the oldest of three children born to Henry E. and Ethel Erickson. She grew up in South Salt Lake, but made Murray her home since 1954. She graduated from Granite High School in 1946.Norma married William E. "Bill" Dunn on March 21, 1947, in the Salt Lake Temple. She lovingly supported Bill in church, business and community activities for over 64 years.As an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Norma served as Relief Society president, Primary president and in various other callings. She was the charter president of the McMillan Elementary School PTA. She was an example of getting involved and being of service to others. After the death of her father, she and Bill lovingly welcomed her mother to live with them for over 35 years. Her greatest joy in life was being a mother, grandmother and great grandmother.Norma is survived by her loving husband, Bill, their children, Craig Dunn of Mission Viejo, CA, Debbie Black (Jerry) of Sandy, UT (currently serving as President of the Nevada Las Vegas West Mission), Lori of Draper, and Brian (Rebecca) of Draper; eight grandchildren, Lisa Dana (Clark), Jenni Carlson (Tyler), Greg Black (Lindsey), Brian Black (Rebecca), Jessica Craig (Bryce), Brantley, Taylor and Mackay Dunn; and 12 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Betty Stephens (Don), and brother, Ron Erickson (Georgia); Funeral Services will be held at noon in the Murray Utah Stake Center, 160 E. 4600 S. in Murray on Saturday, January 28. Friends and family may call from 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State Street in Murray, and at the stake center on Sat. from 10:30-11:30 a.m prior to the services.
