Michael Earl Lee1943 ~ 2012Michael Earl Lee, age 68, passed away January 15, 2012 in Panama City, Panama. He was born March 16, 1943 in Augusta, Georgia to William Earl Lee and Rama Lee Firth. Mike was raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. He graduated from the U of U in Engineering where he was an active member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He received his MBA from BYU. He had over 40 years of experience in the capital market and private asset management. Mike was a member of the LDS Church where he had many callings; he loved studying and teaching the gospel. He loved the scouting program and helping build pinewood derby cars and snow caves. In his retirement years he served on the Board of Directors of the Peace House in Park City. He was a passionate outdoorsman who loved skiing, sailing, playing tennis, golfing, mountaineering, and fishing. In 1996, he began to create an antique timber frame masterpiece of a home in Park City, where he enjoyed gathering with family and friends. Mike had a huge love of life and experienced it to its fullest. Survived by his loving wife Kathy Lee and his five children Eric, David, Meredith, Jon, and James; mother Rama Firth, sister Pat Richter and brother Bill Lee. He also leaves his ten precious grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father William Earl Lee and step-father Chuck Firth.Services will be held Saturday, January 21, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at the Park City LDS Ward, 2300 Monitor Dr., where friends may visit from 12:30-2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
