A man was arrested for shooting while driving, having an expired license, cruelty to animals, being intoxicated and more, after shooting a dog and passenger while driving on I-15.

The Utah Highway Patrol says the man was driving between Santaquin and Nephi when he pulled out a pistol and shot a dog that was sitting on the floor between the feet of the front-seat passenger. The passenger also was shot in the leg.

After shooting, the driver threw the dog and two guns out the window then drove the passenger to Central Valley Hospital in Nephi.
