Ward Rhodes Clark1920 ~ 2012Ward Rhodes Clark, 92, beloved husband, son, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 15, 2012 with his children by his side. He was born January 7, 1920, in Lehi, Utah to Zella V. Rhodes and Sylvan W. Clark. He married Marie Afton Robinson on February 14, 1952 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Ward graduated from Lehi High School in 1938. He earned a B.S. degree from Utah State University. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served two LDS missions: Northern States (1940-1942), Southern States (1954). He had a great Jove of the gospel and service within the LDS Church and he particularly enjoyed the many years serving in the temple. Ward is survived by a daughter and two sons, Marda Marie Hinkson of Grangeville, ID; Martin R. (Cindy) Clark; Francis J. Clark; and eight grandchildren -Matthew, Kimberly, Michael, Rebecca and Mark Hinkson; Stephen, Ryan and Andrew Clark and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, siblings - Nola, Dale and "Billy" and a granddaughter - Ashley Hinkson. The family would like to give thanks to his attentive hospice nurse - Leann, faithful home teachers, loving ward members and for the conscientious care received from Ashford Memory Care. A celebration of his life will be held at 12:00 noon Friday, January 20, 2012 at the American Fork 13th Ward, 975 N. 60 E. Family and friends may also call Thursday, January 19 at the same location from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. and on Friday one hour priorto the services. Interment will be in the Lehi City Cemetery.
