Esther LaRee (Thayne) GinesOct. 13, 1926 to Jan. 16, 2012From Humble Beginnings to GreatnessFirst and foremost a wonderful matriarch. A fashionista ahead of her time. LaRee grew up in the small town of Mountain Home, Utah. Her family moved to Kamas, UT where she met and married her high school sweetheart, Don J Gines on March 3, 1945, during World War ll. They were later sealed in the Logan Temple on August 2, 1962. They lived and built their dream home in Bountiful, UT. LaRee and Don, the love of her life and best friend spent 67 years together creating a life and family with the help of Heavenly Father. LaRee loved the Utah Jazz, theater, shopping, and travel with family. Mom loved a visit and a Coke.LaRee is survived by her husband, Don, her siblings: Mona Hight, Wilma Powell, Blaine Thayne, and John Dewey Thayne,and her four daughters: Linda Hedges, Cathy (Danne) Hughes, Deon Gines, and Terry (Wayne) Allred, 14 grand children, 25 great-grand children, and seven great-great grandchildren and counting! LaRee is preceded in death by her granddaughter Andrea Todd.A viewing will be held on Thursday, January 19th, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at the Woodland Hills Ward located at 640 S. 750 E. Bountiful, Utah. On Friday, January 20th a viewing will be held from 10-11 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment will be held at Lakeview Cemetery, 1640 Lakeview Dr., Bountiful, Utah.Our family would like to express thanks to the Lakeview Hospital staff for their excellent care and CNS Hospice for helping us bring our Mom home to fulfill her wish of spending her last days at home with her family.In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to LDS.org charity options.
