Norma Jean Walker Broadhead"Together Again"Norma, age 87, beloved mother, grandmother, and wife to the late Kenneth L. Broadhead, died Jan. 13, 2012, causes incident to age.She was born June 23, 1924 in Pocatello, ID, to Lorin Lyman Walker and Vera May Hendricks Walker. Norma was raised on the family farm in Inkom, ID, where she met and married her sweetheart, Ken. Together they served 3 missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints: Los Angeles Family History Library and Parker, AZ, Employment Services, 2 times. Her church service spanned her lifetime, including well over 1,000 quilts for humanitarian services and her family. She is survived by her children, Geri (Dennis) Perkins, serving an LDS Mission in the Marshall Islands, Karen (Roger) Woodruff of Bakersfield, CA, Doris Nored of Sonora, CA, Renee (Robert) Park of Hanna, UT, Darlene (Joe) Lawrence and Kenneth Jr. (Kathy) Broadhead, both of Salt Lake City, Clinton Broadhead of Alamo, NV, Mark Broadhead of Eaton, CO, Gary (Cathy) Broadhead of East Carbon, UT; 50 grandchildren; 120 great-grandchildren; 25 great-great-grandchildren (with 4 coming in the Spring); brother, Horace Walker and sister, Verla Ellis. With spouses, Norma's legacy of posterity is 263.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth; son, Stanton Wayne; 4 grandchildren, Jeffery, Megan, Corrine, Carl; son-in-law, Danny Nored; siblings, Lowel, Arvilla, Adderine, Leland, Phoebe and Lois.Funeral services will be held Monday, January 16th, 11:00 a.m. at the Westbrook LDS Stake Center, 4113 W. 6200 So., Salt Lake City. A viewing will be held Sunday evening from 6 8p.m. at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 So. Redwood Rd. and one hour prior to services at the church.
