Blaine Creed Wheeler1936 ~ 2012Our robust, hardworking, kindhearted husband, father, grandfather and brother passed away January 12, 2012 in Preston, Idaho. Creed was born February23, 1936 in Los Angeles, California to Wellington C. and Alice (Goodfellow) Wheeler. His father died when he was just five months old. Creed was raised in Bountiful, Utah by his mother and a fine stepfather, Elmo J. Steed. He was a great outdoorsman, loving his life work as a brick mason and his many outdoor pleasures such as fishing and hunting. He thoroughly enjoyed driving around with others, pointing out the many homes and buildings in Davis County and surrounding areas, as well as in the Preston area, that he had given his special touch to as a brick mason. From the time he was a young boy he had a great love for his dogs, horses and Mother Nature. He was a member of the Bountiful Jeep Posse for many years. He was especially happy living on his ranch in Preston and being a part of that community.He married JoEllen Johnson and they had four children, later divorced. He married Inza Hammond and they spent three enjoyable years together. He is survived by his wife, Inza, son, Carl (Karen), Thatcher, Id and daughter, Angie (Mike) Dastic, North Salt Lake, and three grandchildren, Austin Brick, Landon Creed and Maison Elizabeth Wheeler. Two brothers, Gordon G. Wheeler and Kent E. (Sharlee) Steed and a sister, Susan S. (Robert) Robison. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Gregory Creed, daughter, Annette Maree and a special friend, Gladys Williams.Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 16, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Preston 7th LDS Chapel 155 North 200 West, Preston. Friends may call Sunday from 6-8 p.m.at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 800 East, Preston and Monday from 11:30 - 12:30 p.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery.
