Ellen S. RoholtJuly 31, ~ Jan. 10, 2012Ellen Strand Roholt, 66, passed away Jan. 10, 2012 in Hinckley, UT. Born in Drammen, Norway to Knut and Aase Strand. Came to Salt Lake City at age two, when her family left Norway. An excellent student in school, carried near perfect grades her entire school years, including college and specialized courses for her career. She eloped and married Reed B. Roholt on Sept. 16, 1967 in Elko, NV. June 30, 2000, they were sealed in Manti LDS Temple. Worked for State of Utah in many positions, all helping people get jobs, education, and benefits after being deserted by their spouse. Never too busy to help someone in need, on or off the job. Had talent for writing, art and music. Sang at many weddings and funerals and performed in many plays. Ran own rutabaga-gram business and brought laughter to many birthday parties. A lover of animals, having horses and dogs throughout her life. Member of Silver Spurs, and traveled to many rodeos throughout her youth. Member of LDS church; and after going through temple, she and Reed taught a class for those wanting to get back to church. Her greatest joy came from her family. Loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, always bragging about them. Survived by husband: Reed B. Roholt, Hinckley; mother: Aase Strand, SLC; daughters: Starlyn Roholt, Provo; Robyn (Steve) Sciuto, SLC; Kodi Schoppmann, Cedar City; son: Shane (Jannette) Roholt, Logan; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.Funeral: Monday, Jan. 16, 11 AM, Hinckley LDS Chapel, 188 N Main St. Viewings: Sunday, 7-8 PM, Nickle Mortuary, 190 S Center St, Delta; and Monday at church, 9:30-10:40 AM. Burial Hinckley Cemetery.
