Karla Kay Winrow1959 ~ 2012I was born November 3, 1959 in Salt Lake City and raised in Granger, Utah. I left my earthly vessel at 11:03 a.m. on January 10, 2012 in the loving arms of my father and into the waiting arms of my grandmother and sister. I am survived by my parents, Elmer and Dottie Winrow. I shared my life with my siblings: Linda (Kenny), Don (Jacquie), Mike (Lori), Connie, Kathy (Jack), Joe (Cindy). Preceded in death by my sister, Vickie. My world was my daughter, Amber (Roberto) and son, Gary; and the light of my life, and chip off the old block, my grandson, Derek.I didn't want to leave my family this soon, but cancer had other plans for me. I gave a valiant fight but lost the battle. I was blessed with many wonderful nieces and nephews, extended family members, loyal and caring friends, Michelle, Ayhan and Guy, my birth mother, MaryAnn Fournier, and the great people at Diamond Lil's Restaurant.I hope I have left my children with the lessons of working hard, living within your means, and loving the Lord unconditionally. I want to tell you all that I'll be looking down on you . . . and thank you for being close to me throughout this painful journey that I endured. "After this life on earth, we will all connect with each other through our hearts..."Elmer, Dot and family wish to give thanks to Utah Hospice Specialists who helped care for Karla.Funeral services will be held Monday, January 16, 2012, 12:00 noon at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road where viewings will be held Sunday, 6-8 p.m. and Monday, 11-11:45 a.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
