Elmer DeWayne Pendleton1923 ~ 2012Our father and grandfather, Elmer DeWayne Pendleton, age 88 passed away peacefully in Sandy, Utah, January 7, 2012, from cause's incident to age. He was born September 25, 1923 in Magna, Utah to Franklin Lynn and Delilah Pearl Hatch Pendleton. He married Wanita Margaret Goodenough, June 20, 1942 in Preston, Idaho. She passed away April 7, 2010.Elmer worked for Kennecott Copper Corp. for 36 years as a pipe fitter. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outdoors, and traveling with Wanita especially after he retired. He was skilled in woodworking and made many beautiful items including fun whirly gigs. Dad enjoyed growing his own fruits and vegetables with Mom and sharing them with others. He was very proud of his grandchildren. He is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was active in the Magna Senior Citizens Center.Elmer is survived by his son, DeWayne A. (Debbie) of Cottonwood Heights, Utah, grandsons, Reed (Becky), Shawn (Amy), and granddaughter, Ashlee Pendleton. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, his siblings, and three infant children.At Elmer's request there will be no services. We know that Dad is finally at peace and with Mom again.
