Dorothy Myers Johnson"Amazing Lady"Our wonderful happy beloved sister, aunt, cousin and friend has moved on to her next adventure. She passed away peacefully January 6, 2012 of natural causes at the age of 94. She was born September 27, 1917 in Eureka, Nevada to Elizabeth Grace Kitchen and Gilbert Yost Myers. Dot lived for many years with her very special aunt and uncle, Margaret and Gene Axell in San Rafael, California. She cared for Aunt Margaret during the last years of her life. Dot loved horses and was an excellent rider. She bragged that she "was never thrown from a horse and could ride any horse, no matter how big or rambunctious." Dorothy loved to travel and traveled extensively with family and friends. She was active in community and political affairs and served on many committees working to improve the communities in which she lived. Married to Kenneth Johnson (deceased). She was an accomplished business woman and used her skills in accounting and business as co owner of Johnson Jewelers and to assist her aunt Margaret's accounting business. Dorothy was always happy and often expressed gratitude for her life and the bounties she enjoyed. She was very generous and shared often with her family and friends. She will be missed. Dot was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Marion Gilbert Myers and Grant Yost Myers, aunt and uncle Margaret and Gene Axell. Survived by sisters Reva (Robert) White and Jeanne (Galyn) Blackburn.A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday January 10th between 5-7 pm at the Silverado Senior Living Center (1430 East 4500 South Murray, Utah).
