Michael Louis Cook2/20/1946 ~ 1/3/2012Michael L. Cook passed away January 3, 2012. Mike served his country in the Navy during the Vietnam Era and was stationed in Dunedin, New Zealand, where he met Angela, Mike and Angela were married in NZ 1968. They returned to Missouri where Mike received his Bachelors of Science degree at Southeast Missouri University. They moved to Houston after his graduation where they spent many years and ten years ago they moved to Salt Lake. Mike was diagnosed with MS in the 70's and fought valiantly for many years. Mike donated his body to the VA and they will be using his brain and spinal cord tissue for research to advance the cure for Multiple Sclerosis. Even in death, as in life, his goal was to help others. He is preceded in death by his parents Vernon and Madeline Cook and by his youngest sister LeAnn Price. Husband to Angela Cook, father to Shayne (Karen), Kevin, Amy (John) and Stephanie (Justin). Son to Vernon and Madeline Cook. Grandfather to Alden, Ethan, Hailey, Krissy, JJ, Dante, Trevin, Addison and Caelin. Brother to Pat, Kathy, Debbie and LeAnn. Brother in law to Mary, Jim, Christopher, Kevin and Stephen. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday 11:00 am Saint Thomas More Catholic Church 3015 East Creek Road, Sandy, UT. Friends may visit one hour prior to the mass.
