Norman B. Jamieson"Together Again"Norman B. Jamieson, son of Floyd Jamieson and Merle Jamieson Burner was born on December 18, 1926 in Murray, Utah. He passed away peacefully at home on January 3, 2012. He married Gaynell Birch on September 13, 1952 and they were sealed as an eternal family in the Manti, Utah Temple on March 9, 1963.Norman served in the U.S. Navy from 1945-1950. He worked as a printer for the Deseret Printing Press for 31 years, retiring in 1988. Norman served diligently in callings for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, making many friends and helping others whenever he could. He loved his family, traveling and fishing; he was happiest when he could combine all three.Preceded in death by his wife, Gaynell and infant son, Marvin Jamieson. Norman is survived by his sister, Cleo Butcher; son, Dean; daughters, Mary (David) Breithaupt and Jane Willard; 6 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be held at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State St. in Murray, at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 9, 2012. Viewings for family and friends will be Sunday evening from 5-7 p.m. and Monday from 10-10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Burial will be at the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
