James Daniel Morgan1921 ~ 2011Logan, Utah J.D. Dan Morgan passed away of natural causes January 2nd 2012. He was born May 31st 1921 in Huntington, Utah to Ruby Grange and Gerald Morgan. Married Shirley Ann Wilcox June 16, 1945 in Price, Utah. They spent 62 wonderful years together. He graduated from Carbon County High School and attended the University of Utah. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ Saints. Dan was very talented played trombone and won numerous awards. He was a very creative man who has made many outstanding pieces of art, furniture, jewelry and unique crafts. Many of them are whimsical and funny. Dan was a very successful businessman. He was general manager for Building Systems Inc., in Salt Lake City for 28 years. He was a director of the Association of American Contractors. Dan was an active member of the East Millcreek Lions Club for many years. He served a term as president of the East Millcreek Lions Club and later became District Governor of District 28T for the Utah State Lions Club. Dad is survived by three children, James (Jim) Morgan (Fawn), JaDene Denniston (Boyden) and KoniKaye Jeschke (Jerry); ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grand children; Brother Blain R. Morgan (Relva) and Brother-in-law Kent Wilcox (Cherri), There will be a graveside family memorial at Wasatch Lawn, 3401 South Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah at 2:00 p.m. Saturday Jan 7, 2012. A viewing will be held Friday evening January 6th from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Allen Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center St. Logan, Utah.
