A Los Angeles Fire Department engine arrives at a fire in the Laurel Canyon section of Los Angeles on Friday Dec.30,2011. An arsonist torched car after car early Friday, sending firefighters scrambling to put out more than a dozen blazes in Hollywood and neighboring West Hollywood. The fires started shortly after midnight and occurred over a four-hour span before dawn.

LOS ANGELES — Another car fire has been reported in an underground garage in Hollywood and fire officials believe it may be linked to a series of overnight arson fires in the area.

Los Angeles Fire Department Capt. Jaime Moore tells the Los Angeles Times (http://lat.ms/rxqFxb ) it's "very possible" that the fire reported at about 7 p.m. Friday beneath the L.A. Fitness health club was started by the same arsonist or arsonists. It involved only one car and no injuries were reported.

The latest fire brings to 22 the numbers of fires in one of the worst arson rampages in recent years in LA.

The fires started in a parked car and in some cases the flames spread to nearby houses, including one once occupied by Doors frontman Jim Morrison.
