William (Bill) Neiman BrittonMarch 9, 1930 ~ December 25, 2011Bill Britton died at approximately 4:50 p.m. as a resident of Willow Glen Health & Rehabilitation in Brigham City, Utah after losing his fight with cancer and several mini strokes. Bill was born to James and Minnie (Neiman) Britton in New York City, New York.Bill served in the Army Air Corps spending time in both World War II and the Korean Conflict. Shortly after returning to the United States he married Vera Elizabeth "Mickie" Copelan, June 5th, 1952 in Madison, Tennessee.Bill Britton has been credited for writing the poem and book Legend of Rainbow Bridge, The Last Outpost, The Adventures of Carlos the Coyote. Bill worked extensively with the Companion Golden Retriever Rescue in Utah founded by his wife, Mickie Britton.Bill Britton was preceded in death by his wife, Vera (Mickie) Britton died January 1, 2002; grandson Sean Aaron Carriveau died January 14, 1989; and great-grandson Dylan Parenteau died December 28, 2000. He is survived by his sisters, Gloria Grosvenor of Colton, California; Beverly and Ralph Foley of Mission Texas. Sons, Marshall and Yvette Britton of Las Vegas, Nevada; John and Debbie Britton of Hooper, Utah. Grandchildren, Renee Brannon; Corrie Anne Parenteau; Sean Britton; Kristi Bilson; Matthew and Christopher Britton. Great-grandchildren, Breanne and Celine Brannon; Noah, Kaya, and Alexis Parenteau; Mason Britton; Makayla Bilson.Bill Britton arranged for his body to be used for medical science after death.
