Joan Mae Christensen Roundy1942 ~ 2011Brigham City,Utah-Joan Christensen Roundy passed away suddenly on December 24 2011, at home in Brigham City. Joan was born in Brigham City on September 13, 1942, a daughter of Lorin and May Christensen. She married Frank Roundy on January 27, 1961, in Elko NV. She graduated from Bear River High School in Tremonton in 1960 and attended Weber State University. She was a member of the LDS church. When her children were younger she worked as a volunteer for the American Red Cross swimming Program. She worked as a bookkeeper/office manager in banking and automotive dealerships and retired four years ago from McFarland Ford Dealership. She lived in Bear River City, Layton, and Brigham City Utah and spent about three and a half years in Wiesbaden Germany. She enjoyed traveling, reading, her pets, was an excellent cook, and adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She anxiously awaited spring each year so we could start planting the new flowers. Joan was always concerned about the well-being of her family, her neighbors, and friends.Joan is survived by her husband, Frank Roundy; her daughter, Donna Jill (Darrin) Roche; sons: Dirk Frank (Denise) Roundy, and Derek Frank (Ashley) Roundy; and her eight grandchildren, and her 2 great grand children. She is also survived by her two sisters Connie Rae Cannon, and Loree Denna and Lynn Davis.She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother Anton B Christensen; and a brother-in-law, Murray Cannon.Funeral services will be held Friday, December 30, 2011 at 11:00 am in the Brigham City 20th Ward Chapel, 650 Anderson Drive, Brigham City. Friends may call Thursday, December 29, 2011 from 6:00-8:00p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East in Tremonton, and Friday from 9:30-10:30a.m. at the church prior to the funeral.
