Charlene Marie Cobb Price 1939 ~ 2011Charlene Marie Cobb Price (72) passed away peacefully in her Provo home surrounded by her loving family on December 21, 2011. She was born, as a twin, in Inglewood, California to Wesley Sumner Cobb and Clara Johnson on August 8, 1939. She graduated from Glendale High School in 1957 and attended Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. She graduated with honors with a bachelors of science degree in Physical Education in 1961. While in college she joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. After graduating she taught physical education in several California schools. Following her marriage to John Price in 1965 (later divorced) they moved back to San Luis Obispo, California and raised four loving children. It was there that she worked for Dr. R. Jeffrey Herten for 29 years. In 2006 she moved to Provo where she thoroughly enjoyed serving a mission to the Provo, MTC and was heavily involved in humanitarian work and spending time with her grandchildren. She has touched the lives of her many wonderful friends everywhere she lived. She loved to spend time gardening, sewing, canning, reading, photography, letter writing and serving others. She is survived by four children, Marie (Craig) Eatough, Provo, Ut; Gayle (Shane) Riley, Sandy, Ut; Karen Price and Gary Price, San Diego, Ca; two brothers Charles Cobb, Camarillo, Ca; Greg Ronchetto (Linda and daughter Jaimie), Valencia, Ca; and eight grandchildren, Taylor, Sharla, Tanner, Chance, Ashley, Landon, Caleb and April. She is preceded in death by her parents and grandson Spencer. She will be remembered for her compassionate spirit, her valiant faith, and her love of family.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, December 23, 2011, at the Grandview 9th Ward Chapel, 1555 North 1350 West, Provo, Utah. Family and friends may call from 9-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the church. Interment will be held at the Provo City Cemetery.Condolences may be sent to the family at:
