Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade, left, and forward LeBron James laugh as they sit on the bench during the second half of an NBA preseason basketball game against the Orlando Magic, Sunday, Dec. 18, 2011, in Miami. The Heat defeated the Magic 118-85.

MIAMI — Even in the movie version of the first Miami Heat season of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh as teammates, they still lose in the NBA finals.

Yes, the team made a documentary about Act One for the Big Three. No, it did not have the happy Hollywood ending.

Here comes the sequel.

When its season opens in Dallas on Christmas Day, Miami figures to send out the same starting five as it did for the final game against those Mavericks last season, on the night when James, Wade and Bosh saw Dirk Nowitzki and Dallas hoist the championship trophy.

So it seems like it's championship or bust in Miami, which enters the season as the oddsmakers' favorite to win the crown.
