COURCHEVEL, France — Lindsey Vonn has some bad news for her rivals: She hasn't reached her peak yet.
Vonn is off to her best World Cup start, winning five of six races. She's also well on the way to reclaiming the overall title she lost by just three points to Maria Hoefl-Riesch last season.
Vonn's dominance in downhill is not surprising — she's the reigning Olympic champion. But the 27-year-old finally won a World Cup giant slalom and is intent on mastering the slalom.
Vonn is counting on a more aggressive approach in slalom this season to improve a discipline she considers her "weakest link."
