Bryon Jay Moore "BJ"BJ was born July 30, 1961 to Michael D. and Kathlyn A. Kniss Moore and passed away December 11, 2011. He grew up in Granger then moved to 20th east and 27th south, finally settling in the Mt. Olympus area. He attended Skyline High School and the University of Utah where he earned his Civil Engineering Degree while starting his family. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was an Eagle Scout and also served in the Dallas Texas Mission. He was married to Lynda Terrell in the Salt lake Temple and later divorced, finding happiness with Stephanie Smith of Layton, Utah. He began his career starting with Sunrise Engineering. He then was employed with the Circle Four "Pig Farms" in Milford, Utah where he designed the system to convert pig waste into ethanol fuel. Then he made the big jump to Lurgi of Switzerland in Memphis, Tennessee where he lived at the time of death.He was the type of person who always lived on the edgeswimming with the sharks in Hawaii, jumping off the highest cliff he could find at Lake Powell (and shouldn't have) and of course, his beloved flying. He was a certified flying instructor and had built several airplanes of his own. BJ could fix or make anything. Nothing was impossible for him. He built a lovely home for his family in Milford.He is survived by his four children Angie (Derek) Barnes, Valeria (Beau) Porter, Portia Moore and Nathan Moore and one grandson-Brexton. Also, his mother and father, sister Michelle (Jim) Hood and brother Troy D. (Lori) Moore.Funeral services will be held at Olympus Hills Ward, 4176 Adonis Dr. (4160 So. 3950 E.) Salt Lake City, UT on Monday, December 19, 2011 at 12:00 noon, with a visitation one hour prior to service. A memorial service was held prior in Memphis, Tennessee You are doing what you loved to do most "Flying Moose" fly high to your home above. We love you more than words can say.
