Timothy Edwin Taylor1965 ~ 2011Tim, 46, youngest son of Sally and Ed Taylor, of Sandy, died Dec. 2, 2011 at Germantown, TN. He was born in Rittman, Ohio and lived a short time in Omaha, NE, but spent most of his growing up years in Sandy. He was a 1983 graduate of Brighton High School, then Michigan State University, and then University of Arizona Law School. While at Brighton he played trumpet in the Jazz band, was president of National Honor Society and a Sterling Scholar. He was a National Merit Scholarship winner at MSU and was proud to make Law Review at AZ.He married a MSU classmate, the former Susan Barrett, at the Sandals Resort in Negril, Jamaica. The island was over run with Taylors as the whole family enjoyed the festivities. Tim and Sue enjoyed traveling, taking trips to Hawaii and Mexico while also revisiting Jamaica. Their last vacation was to the Florida Panhandle in May, a place they greatly enjoyed. Although he was an avid fan of all sports and had a remarkable memory of player and team stats, he was first and foremost a staunch supporter of MSU. He also enjoyed cooking and preparing food in the smoker.In addition to his parents and wife Susan, Tim is survived by his sister, Gail Goodrich of Akron, OH, his brother Gary (Diane) of Omaha, NE and his brother Scott (Shannon) of Piedra, CA, special cousin Duke Taylor (Megan) of Clarkson, MI and may other close and special family and friends. He is also survived by his Labradoodle, Guiness and his Portuguese Water Dog, Tiki, two dogs who adored him.A private memorial was held in the hospital chapel conducted by Will Jones, Pastor of the Germantown Presbyterian Church. Cremation has taken place and Tim's ashes will be taken to the places he loved. Memorials in Tim's name can be made to the Huntsman Cancer Center or to the donor's favorite charity.
