LOGAN — Utah State will host a pair of basketball games on Saturday and both games will be televised live as the Aggie women host in-state rival BYU at 2 p.m., and the Aggie men host future Western Athletic Conference foe Seattle at 7 p.m.
"It is going to be interesting tomorrow with the bowl game and all of the excitement there," Utah State men's basketball coach Stew Morrill said. "It is going to be a game where we are going to have to create our own enthusiasm, and that will be good for us."
What's not good for the Aggies is the Redhawks talented players.
"We have watched them on film and they make some plays and rebound the heck out of the basketball," Morrill said. "Aaron Broussard is a first-team all-WAC player in our league, I think. He is very impressive. Clarence Trent was at Washington and transferred, and Eric Wallace is a big, physical guy. Every spot is full of guys that are impressive to look at and impressive to watch on film."
For fans planning on attending one or both events Saturday, Utah State Athletics is offering a discounted ticket as anyone who donates a canned or non-perishable food item will receive free admission to the women's game and the opportunity to buy a $10 non-priority ticket ($7 discount) to the men's game. All food items collected on Saturday will be donated to the Cache Community Food Pantry.
