Edna Widdop Harvey "Grandma Harvey"Our mother, grandma, great-grandma and sister, Edna, age 100, passed away surrounded by family December 13, 2011. Edna was born April 19, 1911 in Green River, Wyoming to James and Buelah Taylor Widdop. Married Claire L. Harvey, September 1, 1931. As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in the Relief Society Presidency, as a Primary and Sunday School teacher, a stake missionary and church service missionary. Edna valued work and was proud of the time she worked for Holy Cross Hospital in the accounting office. She was very independent and enjoyed her bus rides throughout the valley with her grandchildren. She will always be remembered for her dedication and devotion to her sons and family. Survived by her sons, James L. (Nancy) Harvey, Bruce H. (Dian) Harvey; 6 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and sister, Mary Hysell. Preceded in death by her husband and 7 siblings.Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 17th, 11:00 a.m. at the Briarwood Ward, 3751 So. 2200 W. A viewing will be held Friday evening from 6 8 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 So. Redwood Rd. and one hour prior to services at the church.The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Carrington Court and Millcreek Hospice for the loving care they gave to Edna.Edna was everyone's grandma. We love you and will miss you!
