SALT LAKE CITY — For an exhibition game, tonight's Pro Players Charity Classic sure has a whole lot of intriguing angles to it.

It won't count in any standings, but here are some fun subplots that put intrigue into this pro pick-up game at SLCC's Lifetime Activities Center:

— Utah Jazz reunion: Some Utah players have seen each other this summer and worked out together, but this will be the first time since April that this many have been at the same place to hoop it up.

A good chunk of the final 2010-11 roster will play, including Al Jefferson, Paul Millsap, Devin Harris, Jeremy Evans, Earl Watson and Ronnie Price.

Utah will also get a chance to meet up with ex-Jazz guard Wesley Matthews, who'll join Chauncey Billups, Stephen Curry, Corey Maggette and Anthony Tolliver as visiting NBA players.

— Lottery ticket: Not only will the Jazz's two top-12 draftees be there tonight, when No. 3 pick Enes Kanter and No. 12 selection Alec Burks make their Utah public playing debuts. But Sacramento's well-known local connection will also be in the Bruins' house, giving fans another chance to see Jimmer Fredette in action, close up and personal.

The game's match-up — Jazz vs. NBA — should create multiple opportunities for Fredette and Burks to square off against each other. From that pitting, let the debate begin as to whether of not the Kings or the Jazz got the better guard in the 2011 draft.

— Last chance? With David Stern announcing this weekend that the players have an ultimatum of taking the owners' current offer by Wednesday or risk getting a worse deal — and with talks of union decertification floating around — this very well could be the last time local fans get to see pro athletes play this year.

And for how knows how long after that?
