Helen Moeller Hegemeister1910 ~ 2011"The Last Leaf Has Fallen"Aunt Helen died peacefully in her sleep on 16 of October at the remarkable age of 101. She was born 12, September 1910 to Ernst Moeller and Caroline Koller in StadtHagen, Germany. She emigrated with her mother in 1926, and married Herbert Hegemeister, 28 June 1929. He passed away 13 June 1985. Although never blessed with children of her own, she became affectionately known as "Gross Oma" to many loving nieces and nephews and their families.A gracious benefactor to all, she and Herbert were especially helpful to many missionaries in the family, and the L.D.S. Missionary Program. They were very active in temple work and family history research, and both worked together for many years for the L.D.S. Church in the Improvement Era Department. A very positive and independent soul, Aunt Helen probably lived a long life to make sure her family was blessed. She faithfully filled many callings in the church, loved her garden and flowers, and rejoiced when family visited. She made us laugh, and thanked her Father in Heaven daily for her many blessings. We will miss her, but we know she is now in a better place. We wish to thank Affinity, and One Care for their special services, especially Christine, Valene, Jamie, Lilia, and many others. We also thank the Priests of the Holladay Third Ward for their caring service.A viewing will be held Wednesday, October 19 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., at Larkin Sunset Lawn at 2350 East 1300 South. Funeral services will be Thursday October 20, at 11:00 a.m. in the Holladay Third Ward at 4568 Holladay Blvd., with a viewing prior from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Interment at Larkin Sunset Lawn.
