Gladys Chadwick Pounds1919 ~ 2011Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, mother-in-law and aunt passed away September 17, 2011, at the age of 92. Gladys was born April 9, 1919 to Lavon Chadwick and Maggie Lavona Wybrow Chadwick in Preston, Idaho.She married John Archuletta in 1936, they had 3 children. They divorced in 1945. She married Paul Campbell in 1949, they divorced, and she married the love of her life, Chester Pounds, in 1955. He preceded her in death in 1991.She was an accomplished seamstress, porcelain doll maker, ceramics artist, jewelry designer and producer, a great homemaker and a loyal friend. She loved every one of her large family and enjoyed spending time with them. She was so proud of them all, no matter what paths their life took. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a member of the Wasatch Gem Society and, along with her husband, an avid rock hound.Preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Ricky Archuletta, four sisters, one brother and two great-grandsons Tyler Morrison and Marcus Archuletta. She will be deeply missed by her surviving son Marcus Archuletta (Carolyn), daughter Dolores Ranquist (Ross), 21 grandchildren, 104 great grandchildren, 69 great-great grandchildren with three more on the way, and numerous nieces and nephews.Viewings will be held at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, SLC, Monday, September 26 from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday, September 27 from 10-11 a.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 South, Sandy, where services will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery.
