Jean Russell Driggs, Jr. passed from mortality on June 28, 2011. Born on May 9, 1921, he was raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. Jean graduated from South High and received his civil engineering education from the University of Utah, which led to his career in highway design and land surveying. After serving an L.D.S. mission in the Central States Mission, Jean married his eternal sweetheart, Lenore Olsen, in the Salt Lake Temple on Sept. 3, 1943. Together they raised four children and loved spending time together gardening, traveling and enjoying the outdoors. Jean was active in the L.D.S. Church and dedicated his life to serving others. He will always be remembered as a gentle, kind, generous, and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all. Preceded in death by his wife, Lenore and his grandson, Andrew Driggs. Survived by his children Russell (Kayleene), Kenneth (Susan), Garth (Connie) Driggs and Deanna (Jess) Knight, 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 2, 2011, at the Willow Creek 6th Ward chapel, 2115 E. Sublette Place (8420 So.) Sandy, Utah. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the funeral services. Interment will be at the S.L.C. Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at
