Nellie "Mae" Sizemore 7/8/1922 ~ 6/9/2011

Nellie Mary (Mae) Kloeppel Sizemore 1922 - 2011. Our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away peacefully on June 9, 2011. She was born on July 8, 1922 in Vernal, Utah to Henry Kloeppel and Nellie Elaine Powell Kloeppel, she was the eldest of five children. Mae had a good childhood, she grew up on a farm, loved riding horses, and learned the value of hard work. She married Charles Austin Sizemore on February 21, 1945. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Mae and Charlie spent 44 loving years together before Charlie lost his battle with leukemia in 1989. Mae had a strong testimony and belief in the LDS Church, she served in the young women's, relief society, primary, and many other callings. Her most meaningful accomplishment was that of a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Mae was surrounded by dear friends and family throughout her life. She enjoyed sewing and embroidery, gardening, cooking and trying new recipes. She loved to travel and has been as far away as Germany. She was an avid reader and also enjoyed writing down memories and short stories of her life experiences. Mae was preceded in death by her husband, and eternal companion, Charles Sizemore and by her parents Henry and Nellie Kloeppel. She is survived by her three children Nannette Starks (Joseph), Bob Sizemore (Marsha), Ken Sizemore and her brothers and sisters Ruby Anderson, Walter Kloeppel, Jerry Kloeppel (Janet), and Alvaretta Johnson (Blair). She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. There will be a viewing Sunday, June 19, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Mortuary, 255 South 200 East, SLC, UT. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, June 20, 2011 at the Rose Park 6th Ward Chapel at 760 North 1200 West, SLC, UT. There will be a viewing from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. prior to the service, with a family gathering and prayer from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Interment at Redwood Memorial Estates at 7200 S.
