Fred Maughan Parker "The Christmas Tree Man"

Fred Maughan Parker succumbed to pancreatic cancer on May 30, 2011. Fred was born in Missoula, Montana on 12 August 1937 to Fred C and Edna M Parker. He spent his early years in Drummond, MT, where as the only living son he spent much time with his father working on the ranch. He attended Drummond High School and graduated in 1954. In 1967, after serving a church mission in Western Canada, graduating from Brigham Young University, and working in California and Arizona, Fred returned to Montana with his wife Dorene to raise their family. The Parker Ranch and Parker Christmas Trees supported his family for the next 38 years. Fred and Dorene sold the ranch in 2005 and moved to North Ogden, Utah, where his wife currently resides. Fred is survived by his wife, Dorene, and their 10 children, Carmel White, Greenville, North Carolina Natalie(Steve) Wilson, West Haven, Utah, Julie (Cordell) Moon, Boise, Idaho, Steven Fred (Kim),Henderson, Nevada, Susan (Doug) Crockett Minneapolis, Minnesota, Chad William (Michelle) Santa Clara, Utah, Andrew Michael (Jennifer) Wayne, Nebraska, Jason Joseph (Heidi) North Logan, Utah, Jared Nathan (Wendy) Gilbert, Arizona, and Christian Lynn (Emily) Flower Mound, Texas, 44 grandchildren, sisters Karen (Carl) Hatch, Helena, Montana and Marie (Ray) Doty, San Marcos, California, and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, brother Lynn, sisters Mildred, Maurene, Ruth, and Anna Lou and (Don)Smith with baby Debra. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 4th at 11:00 a.m. in the LDS Church at 3100 N. 575 E., North Ogden, Utah. Viewings will be held at the same location on Friday, June 3rd from 6:00p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Saturday morning prior to the funeral services from 9:45 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. Funeral arrangements are being handled through Aspen Funeral Services in West Valley City, Utah.
