ST. GEORGE, UTAH - Eileen Dansie Allsop Ash, 68, died May 16, 2011 in St George Utah. She was recently diagnosed with ALS and passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family. Eileen was born February 1943 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Dora Amanda Cherry and Floyd Charles Dansie who preceded her in death. Eileen married her childhood sweetheart Charles John Allsop in the Logan LDS Temple in 1962 and they shared 45 wonderful years together until his passing in 2007. In 2009, she married Wayne Ash and enjoyed many happy times. Though they were only together for a short period they traveled together and enjoyed becoming part of each other's families. Eileen is the mother of four children: Kendal (Joy Duncan) Allsop, Eric (Teresa Pulsipher) Allsop, Stacy (Damon) Lawlis and Jason (Katie Smith) Allsop and grandmother of 16 children whom she cherished. She is survived by her husband, Wayne Ash; all her children; grandchildren; and siblings: Doren (Sharon) Dansie of Sandy, UT; Raldon (Viola) of Vernal, UT; Raymond (Sharon) Dansie of Washington State; Deon Eric Dansie of Palm Springs, CA and Blanche Sparks of Salt Lake City, UT. Eileen had a talent for making those around her comfortable and loved. She is the true "peace maker". She enjoyed painting, quilting, crocheting and many other crafts along with gardening and having parties at her home. Her and Wayne's children and grandchildren were her focus and she loved making them comfortable in her home and visiting with them as often as possible. She will miss them and be praying for their happiness. She was a graduate of Jordan High School. She later worked for the State of Utah in the Social Services and found many lifelong friends. She was active in the LDS Church and had many callings. Her most rewarding callings were as a mother and grandmother and working with children, specifically the young women who she loved as her own.
