Lucile Judd Asay, 93, died May 15, 2011.She was born January 16, 1918 in Kanab, Utah to Samuel Ami Judd Jr and Maude Mae Henderson Judd. Married Ernest LaGrande Asay on November 27, 1936, later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on June 19, 1945. They were the parents of seven children. An active member of the LDS Church, she served in Relief Society, Primary and fulfilled a mission with LaGrande to the North Carolina Raleigh Mission. They served as temple workers in the Jordan River Temple. Lucile had a strong testimony and shared it with everyone. Survived by her son, Lee Judd Asay (Lynette); daughters, Linda Asay Richins (LeLand); LuAnn Asay Holfeltz (Bart); 16 grandchildren; flower garden of great and great great-grandchildren; brother, Derrel Judd; sisters, Garda Judd and Donna Judd; many nieces, nephews and extended family. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, LaGrande; sons, Gerald, Jack and Steve; daughter, Susan; grandson, Rodney; sister, Wanda Glover; brothers, Harmon Judd and Frank Judd. Lucile loved music and loved to dance. She and LaGrande were square dancers for many years. She loved to read, go camping and mostly be with family. She made many friends throughout her life and was always ready to take a loaf of homemade bread or listen with a heart of love. Many thanks to everyone from Sunbrook Hospice for their loving care and to many angel neighbors and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 20, 2011 at the Crescent 16th Ward, 275 E. 10600 S. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street, and one hour prior to the services, at the church. Interment, Sandy City Cemetery.
