Luezella Mae Shaw rejoined the love of her life on May 8, 2011. Born May 5, 1927 in Garfield, UT to Melvin Osborne and Victoria Margaret Scott Smith. Married Marion Dean Shaw on June 18, 1946. Together they had four children. Mae was the owner of "Mom and Dad's Ceramics" in South Jordan for nearly 30 years. She taught many children the arts through community education. She was active in the LDS church participating in many callings, which she accepted with a smile and pursued to the best of her ability. She was a pioneer in the Headstart program. Mae was a member of The Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She was an accomplished gardener, enjoyed the outdoors, and all wildlife. She loved all activities with her family. Mae is survived by her children, Marvin (Margaret), Marian (Ben) Brown, Johnny (Pat), and Joseph (April); 16 grandchildren, 28 1/2 great-grandchildren, and one great great-granddaughter expected; two sisters, Rhetta and Virgie (Ivan), and two brothers, Melvin (Carol), and Roy (Eileen); in laws, Wayne, Lynn, Mac, and Elaine. Preceded in death by her husband, and six siblings. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2011, 10:00 am, at Redwood Memorial, 6500 South Redwood Road with a viewing from 6-8:00 pm on Friday and one hour prior to the service. Interment to follow.
