Verl LaRue Bunting Schiess 2/7/1929 ~ 4/4/2011Comment on this story
Verl left these earthly bonds after a long illness and returned to our Father in Heaven on April 4, 2011. Born in Park City, Utah, on February 7, 1929, to Robert Owen and Verl Lucille Bunting. She was the oldest of four children, and leaves behind two sisters, Sina and Barbara, and her brother, Robert Junior. Verl worked for the United States Postal Service for 26 years in Personnel. Verl performed a lifetime of service to the LDS Church through her many callings which included playing the piano, organ and often leading the choir. She served a mission in member services and she was a dedicated Temple worker for many years and always had kindness for everyone she met. She was the mother of six children, Linda, Caroline, George, Kathleen, Richard and Kelly. Over the years, her children have given her 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Sorrowfully, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Chad, and her great-granddaughter, Kelsie. All those who had the privilege of knowing this dear, sweet lady will miss her greatly. There is a huge empty space in the family she left behind, all of whom are missing her now. Viewing on Friday, April 8, 2011, at Westbrook Eighth Ward, 4113 West 6200 South, West Jordan, from 12pm to 1:45 pm followed by services at 2:00 pm. Interment immediately after at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan.
