Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather and Friend has returned home to his Heavenly Father surrounded by his loving family. Lewis was born to Wilford and Gene Tripp Robinson on June 15, 1924 in Murray, UT. On July 26, 1943 he married the love of his life, Betty Alice Strong, to whom he was married for 67 wonderful years. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple where they were sealed to their children for time and all eternity. During his life, Lewis fulfilled many callings as a member of the LDS Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; younger brother, Donald Robinson; and grandson, Erick White. He is survived by his wife, Betty; five children, Linda White, Nancy (Jim) Vandiver, David (Chrissy) Robinson, Brent (Kerri) Robinson, and Scott (Nadine) Robinson; 19 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; many extended family members; and his lifelong friend, Dale Husband. Lewis is a World War II Veteran and was honored to serve our country in the Army Air Corps as an engineer and gunner on a B29 Bomber in the South Pacific. His tender kindness blessed all whom he associated with. He loved his family, his country, and fishing. A Viewing for friends and family will be held Sunday, March 27, 2011 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary at 4760 South State Street, Murray, UT. Funeral Services will be held Monday, March 28, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at the Union Fort 5th Ward LDS Chapel at 6770 South 500 East, Midvale, UT. Family and friends are invited to a viewing at the chapel from 10:00 - 10:40. Interment: Murray City Cemetery.
