Jacqueline Miller Hollingshead 1929 ~ 2011

Our Loving and Sweet Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grand-mother passed away February 11, 2011 at the age of 81 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was known and loved by all as "Jackie" and "Grandma Jackie" but will always be "Daddies Little Baby Doll". She was born on March 21, 1929 in Manassas, Colorado to David Asa Miller and Mary Ruth Radford Miller. Moving from Manassas Co to Phoenix, AZ where she attended Phoenix Union High School and was a member of the ROTC and active with the USO dance program during WWII. She later met the love of her life David M. Hollingshead and was married in the LDS Temple in Mesa, AZ on November 7, 1947. She raised six children who all survive her Sharon Marie and Edwin Nicholson, Ginger Ruth and James Hanson, Robin Lee and Neal Hewlett, David Scott and Stephanie Hollingshead, Steven Wayne Hollingshead, Donald Eyre and Terry Hollingshead along with 28 Grandchildren, 46 Great-Grandchildren and sisters Angeline Henrie and Joan Miller. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and her loving brothers Byrne, Tommy, and Dale "Buddy" Miller. She was a very loving and caring person who enjoyed doing for others especially her family. She retired from being a nursing home Health Aid Worker where she brought care and comfort to so many over the years. She loved making dolls and doll clothing and was very creative with anything she touched. She loved to thrift shop and passed that trait to her family and was a part owner with her sister Joan in the "Bargain Bag Thrift Store". Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Myers Mortuary, 5865 S. 1900 W.
