Frankie Ashbrook Bush A Great Lady

Frankie Ashbrook Bush, our darling mother, grandmother, great-grand-mother, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully on February 4th, 2011.Frankie, the youngest of three lively daughters, was born to Walter Scott Ashbrook and Mable Armstrong on May 15, 1919 in Alamosa, Colorado. Frankie married Clarence Collins Bush on April 18, 1939 in Alamosa. They were later sealed in the Manti LDS Temple. Frankie worked in the credit departments of Montgomery Ward and Makoff Co., and was credit manager at Auerbach Co. She was involved in state and local PTA and the Utah Homebuilders Auxiliary. Frankie was a very active woman; she enjoyed skiing, golf, tennis, and travel. She loved to sew and knit, passing those skills on to her children and grandchildren. She was an avid reader and especially enjoyed a good mystery. She is survived by daughter Susan (Gary) Norman, 10 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren, daughter Nancy and her husband Joe Gardner, as well as special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Clary, her parents, two elder sisters, and two great-grandchildren. We wish to thank the wonderful staff at Canyon Creek Assisted Living and also Highland Care Center for their kindness to Frankie. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 11th at 12:00 noon at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 S. Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, UT. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Frankie's name to Primary Children's Medical Center.
