Wanda Orgill Mair 1927 - 2011

Our dear wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and aunt was suddenly taken from us on Thursday, February 3, 2011 as a result of a ruptured aorta.Wanda was born May 1, 1927 in Daniels, Utah and was the sixth of 11 children of James William Orgill and Ina McDonald. She married her childhood sweetheart, Veral James Mair, on August 12, 1945. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in 1972. Wanda graduated from Wasatch High School and later completed cosmetology school. She worked as a beautician in her own salon for over 15 years. She later worked at ZCMI and Trane Manufacturing Company. After retirement she worked part time at Winchell's Doughnuts and was affectionately know as the "doughnut lady" in her neighborhood. Wanda was a survivor of breast cancer for over 46 years and was considered a "miracle lady" by the medical community. She enjoyed many crafts including quilting, sewing, baking and shared those talents with her family and friends. Wanda had cherished memories of many years of bowling, golfing, camping, boating, square dancing, traveling and spending time with her family. Wanda had a strong testimony of the gospel and held many callings including serving over 20 years in the Young Women's Program. Her family will always remember the special way she celebrated their birthdays and the efforts she put into family traditions, holidays and traveling with them. Wanda is survived by her loving Husband of 65 years, Veral, four children, LaWanna Henderson, Shirley (Vic) Hanson, Kent (Debbie) Mair, and Randy Mair, 13 grandchildren, 31 great- grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, ten siblings, son-in-law and great-grandson. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at the Daniels Canyon Ward, 2395 South Mill Road (1200 East), Heber City, Utah at 12:00 noon. Friends may call on Monday, February 7 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Olpin-Hoopes Funeral Home, 288 North Main Street, Heber City, Utah and on Tuesday, February 8 at from 10:30 -11:30 a.m. at the church prior to services.
