Utahs Daniel Summerhays finished in a tie for 34th place in his first PGA Tour event at Sony Open in Hawaii Sunday. The Farmington native and former BYU standout finished with a 72-hole total of 275 and earned $26,606.

Summerhays fired a 6-under-par 64 in the second round at the Waiaele CC, the lowest score of the tournament. He shot a 71 in the first round and 70s in the final two rounds. Summerhays earned his PGA card by finishing fourth on the Nationwide money list last year.
