Betty Bingham Our Beautiful Mother

Beloved mother, grandmother and friend, Betty Lee Averett Bingham, 84, passed away peacefully Monday, January 10, 2011. She was Born March 12, 1926 in Mt. Pleasant, Utah to Wilburn B. and Ada Jorgensen Averett. She married Keith J. Bingham on November 11, 1947. Their marriage was solemn-ized in the Salt Lake Temple on May 18, 1965. She was a faithful member of the LDS Church and served in many capacities. She retired from Beehive Clothing Mills after 24 years. She loved collecting porcelain dolls and stuffed animals. She was loved by all who knew her because of her kindness, gentleness and loving ways and we will miss her quiet presence. She is survived by her three children; Bryce (Leslee) Bingham; Peggy (Richard) Shaw; and Pat Sargent, 11 grandchildren and 16 great- grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother. We wish to thank the Intermountain Medical Center for the loving care they provided for mom. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 15, 2011 at the Taylorsville 8th Ward, 1495 W Tamarack Road (4567 South), at 11:00 a.m. Friends and family may call Friday 6-8:00 p.m. and Saturday 10-10:45 a.m. Interment will be at the Valley View Memorial Park.
