Linda Parkinson Radford 1941 ~ 2011
Linda Parkinson Radford, 69, of Etna, Wyoming, passed away on January 1, 2011, with loving family by her side. She was born on July 24, 1941 in Rexburg, Idaho. Linda Cherry Parkinson married Rex Kay Radford of Arco, Idaho in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on May 28, 1958. During their marriage of nearly 53 years they raised four children: Steven, Tony, Krista and Rebecka. Linda's greatest joy was her family. She loved being a mother and grandmother cherishing the time that she spent with her children and grandchildren. Linda enjoyed many different types of crafts, but had a special place in her heart for hand quilting. Linda was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many church callings throughout her life. In recent years she enjoyed serving in the Humanitarian efforts as well as the Extraction Program of the church. She endlessly gave of herself to others and will remain an inspiration to us all. Linda is survived by her loving husband, Rex, her son, Tony Jay Radford of Boston, MA and daughters Krista Lynn Carn and Rebecka Lee Franklin both of Etna, Wyoming. Her step-mother, Eldora Parkinson, eleven grandchildren, five great- grandchildren, and ten brothers and sisters. She was preceded in death by her son Steven Kyal, father Leo Parkinson, mother Leona Hendrickson and step father Dexter Hendrickson. A viewing will be held on Thursday January 6, 2011 from 6 to 8:00 p.m. at Schwab Funeral Home in Thayne and on Friday January 7, 2011 from 10 to 11:45 a.m. in the Etna LDS Church with funeral services immediately following at 12:00 noon. Graveside services will be Saturday January 8, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Ucon Cemetery in Ucon, Idaho.
