CANCUN, Mexico — The Utah women's basketball team closed out the Caribbean Challenge with a 60-40 loss to No. 23 Green Bay on Saturday afternoon.

Janita Badon led the Utes (3-3) in scoring with 13 points. Michelle Plouffe had her second double-double of the season with 11 points and 12 rebounds.

Utah played solid defense, outrebounding the Phoenix 42-31 and holding them to a season-low 60 points.

Green Bay was also held to 35-percent shooting, well below its season average of 47 percent.

The deciding point in the game came with 3:30 remaining in the first half. With Utah up by one, 15-14 after a pair of Badon free throws, Green Bay reeled off a 15-1 run to end the half with a 29-16 lead at intermission.

Utah flies home today, preparing to face Washington on Wednesday to begin a four-game homestand.
